After finding out that Ayahuasca has hallucinogenic powers, I was reminded of the books by Carlos Castaneda. He wrote several novels back in the late 60’s that used visions induced by peyote and other Native American hallucinogenic plants that were used in various rituals.
Hi Robert, thanks for sharing your thoughts and feedback. I had a friend who was seemingly "obsessed" by Carlos Castaneda, and he would send me must reads by this author a lot of the time. This was many years before I went off to Ecuador to take the plant medicine that inspired this piece. In answer to your question about the jaguar: I'd like to say "yes", but I think it more accurate to say that she is an alter (ego) of mine, not fully integrated...and I don't know if that is even possible in the earth dimensions :)
Beautifully written with very vivid imagery. I was transfixed with your use of words in this poem. Mystical in every way.
Hi Kamisah. Thank you so much for this feedback!
Very nice piece!
Thank you, C. Elyse!
You are welcome, Cheryl.

Nice poem. Did you become the jaguar?
