The world seems a shade of white no one can place,
No one plainer than a bone,
No tissue thin enough--
And like that
We never see ourselves
Just others
Like a mint,
In the mouth and out,
And down
Through holidays
And weddings
And house–

And then again through photos,
And once more through words
And if ever again.
