The whole of a life is so light
It should be easy, breezy and bright
Moving through, sensations pouring too
Yet we add meaning and complications
Layers of social norms and emotions
When everything is so temporary
Every decision so big and small
Trying to control, add rules
Clear delimitations, labels
Giving purpose by giving pain
Losing joy by trying to seize beauty in vain
Life is such an ephemeral balance of light
Falling off, freedom in flight
