How to Update the Newletters You Recieve
An explanation of the different sections delivered to your inbox.
When you first subscribe to Written Tales on Substack, it automatically adds you to all our updates. This is not exclusive of our substack, but any you subscribe work in the same fashion. To change these settings, click the hamburger in the top right of your screen. The icons on your screen will be different, but this is to give you an idea of what to look for. Click on the three lines as shown below.
Then click on manage subscriptions from the dropdown menu. From there, you’ll see a screen, as shown below. From here, you can toggle on and off the sections you prefer to show up in your inbox.
A Quick Run Down of The Section
Written Tales Magazine
I’d recommend keeping this section turned on as it contains important updates and questions for you, the readers, and the writers.
Written Tales Magazine Podcast
A recent new addition. To all those who have sent in your audio, we have them and will try to get them online soon. I appreciate your patience. With this section turned on, you’ll receive audio of the authors reading their beautiful work.
Chapbooks
As we release new Chabbooks, they’ll appear under this section, where we include all the details and links for members to download their favorite volumes in e-Digital/e-Pub formats of their liking.
Poetry
All accepted poetry submissions appear under this heading.
Stories
All accepted stories appear under this heading.
Writer’s Corner
In this section, we offer tips, advice, and introductions to new writing styles and forms. And sometimes, a little challenge awaits our members with a chance to showcase their creations from the introduction series.
Readers Hub
This section is still under evaluation. We’d recommend keeping it selected until further notice.
Open Submissions
With open submission, we include our open calls for our theme-based Written Tales volumes.
Prompt Challenges
A new category where we offer different writing challenges for our readers and writers to enjoy. For now, we’ll provide these mind-benders once a week to help push your writing to its limits. We can’t wait to see what you’ll come up with next.
New chat threads
Any chats we create will show under this section.
