Limbs embolden with a summer of sunsets
Speaks in yellows and oranges and reds
Like from forest to fire tipped branches
The flames lick at an azure sky with clouded threads.

Bobs of fur bound between the oaks and ash
Urgency builds as the canopy thins to discover
And with a slightest of breeze and breath
The cascades flutter from crest to cover.

Sun filled skies still break overhead
Renewing hope many early nights’ shadows
Will cast before fair turns frigid settles in
And light arcs back by crystalline lows.
