Are you ready for some fun in your life,
well, here I am, Summer, at your doorstep,
knocking at each of your doors
asking each of you to come outside,
to have loads of fun with me.
Are you ready for a baseball or softball game,
a round of golf, playing in the park,
splashing around in backyard pools,
going to the beach,
or maybe you are ready for a picnic,
for I sure am, hungry each day I am around,
though some may not like to do so, especially 
when I am taking one of my showers and get things wet.
