She had a foresight on the path I'd take, She knew the night that would pervade my way, She believes dawn's hands can mar or make, She summons bliss fortune into the day. Hand in hand, we journeyed across the sea, Propped by hope we went through shrivelled meadows, Though they were raging monsters we couldn't see, We marshalled into a room their shadows. She says there is a pathway through the night, And a place where the hidden can be found, Sheltered from the ones that are dimmed of sight, She says fate isn't ceaselessly duty-bound. Someday she will transcend to the beyond, Into a memoir, I will ease my wound.
