a dive into life locates far-fetched depths,
worlds upon worlds and sunken artifacts
with which poetry distinctly interacts

the crystal lens through which the world is seen,
poetry, captures life in a clear language
while it shines its torch in the dark vantage

when poetry mimics a crab's sideways stride
it follows life's zigzag path for learning
its course called complex is not its yearning

poetry longs to raise the cloth shrouding life,
and call eyes and minds to the underneath
should it not be graced with our laurel wreath?
