Welcome to ‘Finding Harmony,’ our theme for Chapbook vol. XII. Join us on a quest for harmony through short stories and poetry, diving into moments of longing, treasured memories, and heartfelt emotions.

Imagine striking balance between opposites like love and war, peace and sadness, life and death, or explore the elements of faith, hope, and danger which may lead to unity. Through your words, guide us along your path to uncovering your steps to finding harmony. This is your chance to reveal how you navigate through life’s contrasts, forging a unique balance. Join us in crafting a collection that shares the beautiful dance of varied experiences on your personal quest for harmony.

No matter what it may be, submit your piece and let us see what “ Finding Harmony” means to you.

Guidelines

1. One (1) submission per entry with no more than four (4) total submissions. Submission with more than one entry per form will not be accepted.

2. Short stories cannot be over 1500 words max.

3. All work submitted must be original and written by you, the author. We seek unpublished work for our chapbooks.

4. No A.I. derived work allowed of any kind.

5. Entries with basic spelling or grammar errors will be rejected. Please double-check your work before submitting.

6. Submissions not properly formatted will be rejected. Please add paragraph breaks before submitting.

7. Please include your name or pen name, bio, and website in the form below as we list it in the “Writers Bio” section. Bio should be written in the third person. If bio is missing, we will not consider your submission for publication.

8. All selected authors for the Chapbook will receive a copy of the e-book edition via a download link.

9. Any author we select for publication is offered a coupon for 20% off our subscriptions.  This include access to all content on writtentales.substack.com including past, current and future e-ChapBooks.

Selected work will appear on our website with a chance to be featured in our Written Tales Chapbook. They’re available to paid subscribers in multiple digital formats. Those authors selected for the Chapbook will receive a free digital copy.
