In this land where predators feed upon prey
And the trusting are maimed and devoured
Time after time and day after day
One longs for kindness to become empowered.

As men and women seem destined for strife
And children suffer due to their struggle
Being human is a stumbling block for life
That keeps families from getting to cuddle.

In school and work, brutal bullies form cliques
Relishing hindering those of character
Through their machinations and politics
Silencing the voice of good choristers.
