Give me the gift 
of one who loves this life 
who dips and rises
through its valleys and hills
with dancing feet 
who greets the dawn 
upon waking each day 
with a sunny aspect 
whose laughter echoes 
down its winding roads
who looks into the mirror
liking what they see 
and has more synonyms 
for joy than sorrow 
whose palette is more 
than just shades of blue.
