I finally ported over all the posts, even the ones in draft. I might have missed a few, and if your writing is missing, let me know. You can view the articles also on www.writtenales.com as well. I am current as of the end of August 2024. And in case you are wondering, no, the substack will not go away. It's in preparation in case they move forward with Apple Pay and the hideous fees Apple would charge for using their service.
With that said, the main website gives us more flexibility to help promote authors and streamline the user experience for all our amazing readers. This is the main driver behind the push.Â
Now, for the new feature, I’m planning on rolling out. It’s an author profile + writing page. Each article added incude SEO optimzed descriptipn, titles and url.
An example can be seen here:
Each author who signs up will have the ability to customize their own profile and add their social links, plus 1 of their books for us to help promote. In addition, instead of showing "Guest Author" at the top of the articles, the author’s name will appear instead.
At the bottom of each article, their bio with a list of articles the reader can read.Â
Another benefit. These pages run within the writtentales.com website. This means your work will be seen and picked up by the search engines. More visibility means more views and promotion.
All members will receive a discount. I’m still working out the details for this new offering.Â
If this is a feature you’d be interested in, let me know your thoughts.Â
