“Sometimes yesterday pulls us back to its room. Walking about it wanes our enthusiasm.”
Thompson Emate
I’m on a new day, I’m happy to embrace a new ray, But I’m hunted by yesterday’s drama, It comes upon me like a hammer. I fight the flooding thoughts, For it deeply hurts, I don’t want an obstruction to my smiles, As I go on the day’s miles. I’m going back home, My mind goes on a roam, I’m drenched by melancholy rain, I embark on a moody train. Yesterday creeps into my room, It pervades it with gloom, I search for light, A way out of the gnawing night.
