Have you ever listened to a damp summer night?
Sometimes perhaps
When you're lucky to be sleepless.
Like tonight.
A cool, humid breeze wafts through the window
And weaves through my sticky hair as I listen.
Crickets chirp.
Water trickles over leaves.
Something buzzes softly.
Something hums loudly.
