It took me twenty years
To write this final draft
 
I should not have waited
For two small words
To grace my social media
To speak up against
All the hell you brought me
 
I still feel the sensations
Of your hand slapping
The tears out of my eyes
 
I still hear your screams
Across subway platforms
In my attempts to save my breath
For more worthy arguments
