My heart cries at what was
and
what might have been;
and at the terrible expanse linking these two realities.

My heart sighs at what is
and
what could still be;
and at the forgiving hands joining these two spiritualities.

My heart flies
alone in form
but coupled in spirit.

We two will soar as one
and feel the freedom of flight;
Live life, love life, never fear it.
