I peered around my old curtains admiring the glistering flakes holding my breath as they delicately descended from the clouds,  the house across the street left their lights on just like they did my adolescent years, and the bulbs glowed softly, guiding the flurries, helping them find their place in this world  my forehead touched the frosty chilled window cherishing the snow globe I grew up in where I first learned to ice skate and drive through slushy sleet filled winters
