I dreamed my dream home before I understood. There remains nothing now ā a rubbish heap of discarded plans and peeling wallpaper. Could I turn the world upside down, sail a boat backwards across oceans to a village with three pubs and a house at the edge of a bog? A dream is the offspring of love or perhaps of faith in something true. And then, like leaves in autumn it floats to the ground.
