On The Rocks by Sarah Das Gupta is a tense short fiction piece where a car parked near a crumbling cliff edge, a sleeping woman, and the ominous presence of the sea create an atmosphere of quiet suspense on a sultry August evening.
The description gave me clear visions of the sea, waves, foam, birds, and especially the car hesitating before disappearing over the cliff. I had to read a second time to understand it, but I didn't mind a second read at all. Eerie, uncanny...loved it.

This has beautiful sensory details and leaves me wanting to read more. Well done!
