Dear clear.eyes: The e-mail I read just before receiving your touching poem posed this question: Are you willing to disappoint others to show up for yourself? That question was personally very thought provoking, and now your poem urges me further to meditate on those ways in which I manage to abandon the self. Beautifully done, and I thank you.
For some reason this makes me think of this: Is it better to be stuck as as child in innocence, never grow up...? Or is it preferred to mature into an adult and go through experience when the eyes are opened to the reality of the world an we grow older and decay? Good read!
Thank you for sharing such a beautiful vulnerable poem with us all cleareyes.poetry In honour of your hearts journey to self love, peace and acceptance. 🙏
